How to add E-Mail Authentication in Your Macintosh OS X E-Mail:
 
1. Open Mail.
 
2. Click on Mail, then select Preferences.
 


 

3. Click on Accounts. (In the top, left-hand side of this window).
 


 

Here is where you will make the appropriate changes.
 


 

4. Click on the Server Settings button.
 


 

5. Select Password from the Authentication dropdown.
 
6.  Enter in your email User Name and Password.
 
7. Click on the OK button.
 
8. Close the mail window by clicking on the red circle in the top, left-hand corner.
 


 

9. Click on the Save button.
 
10. You are Done.
